This course covers the learning of various methods in communication and extension particularly in the transfer of agriculture technology  It encompasses various aspects of agriculture extension, history, methods, models, and approaches of agriculture extension.  This course also deals with various aspects of agriculture extension such as problems, challenges, monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment. Problems and issues in the implementation of agriculture extension program will also be discussed.  Students will be assessed through a combination of tests, individual presentations, and leadership evaluations to measure their understanding, communication skills, and ability to lead in extension-related activities.

This course equips foodscience students with essential knowledge and practical skills in food safety management for industry readiness. It emphasizes the roles of regulatory authorities, food industries, and consumers in ensuring food safety throughout the food supply chain. The topics of food hazards, diseases caused by water, contaminated foods and its control will be covered as well as causes of foodborne illnesses, and preventive measures. The principles, applications of food safety, and sanitation in every activity of food chain from raw materials procurements to consumers will be explained. Students will be exposed to the planning, as well as management of facilities, equiments, small tools, cleaning, sanitation operations at the premises, and accidents prevention. Food safety management system such as HACCP, GMP, BeSS and Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) will be also taught.     
Kursus ini melengkapkan pelajar Sains Makanan dengan pengetahuan serta kemahiran praktikal yang penting dalam pengurusan keselamatan makanan bagi persediaan menghadapi keperluan industri. Kursus ini menekankan peranan agensi kerajaan, industri makanan dan pengguna dalam memastikan keselamatan makanan yang diaplikasikan sepanjang rantaian bekalan makanan. Topik yang dibincangkan termasuk bahaya makanan, penyakit yang disebabkan oleh air, makanan tercemar dan kawalannya, punca penyakit bawaan makanan serta langkah pencegahan. Prinsip dan aplikasi keselamatan makanan serta sanitasi dalam setiap aktiviti rantaian makanan daripada perolehan bahan mentah hingga kepada pengguna akan diterangkan. Pelajar akan didedahkan kepada perancangan dan pengurusan fasiliti, peralatan, alatan kecil, operasi pembersihan dan sanitasi di premis serta pencegahan kemalangan. Sistem pengurusan keselamatan makanan seperti HACCP, GMP, BeSS dan Inisiatif Keselamatan Makanan Global  juga akan diajar.
