This course aims to assist students to adapt the method of research and
any exercise regarding the research technique and process. There are several
steps in this business research methods which discuss the problem
identification, research objectives and design, data collection, analysis, data
interpretation, and discussion. In general, this course will focus on type of research
which covered the qualitative and quantitative analysis in business
environment. It exposes the students to the construction of research proposal,
project paper, and thesis report.
Sustainable development require a comprehensive understanding in balancing a conflicts between human activities and environment. This course highlight on a management approach called Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) as well as its requirements, procedure and establishment via understanding the method of EIA assessment and practice in EIA study. Reviewing process and the determination of the requirements for the EIA according to the existing guidelines are also emphasize in this course. This also include the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in the term of EIA reports and executive summary. At the end of the course, the students should be able to understand the process in EIA and learn to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential environmental impacts of development projects and gain insights into the regulatory frameworks and stakeholder engagement processes associated with EIAs.
